Providing assistance to individuals and families navigating housing resources and related support needs.
Deafinitely Housing is seeking funding to establish a Resource Specialist position dedicated to resource navigation and support. The position could assist community members with identifying resources, understanding available options, navigating applications and referrals, and connecting with appropriate services.In the meantime, individuals seeking assistance with housing security and related resources are encouraged to contact Deafinitely Housing. Assistance is currently subject to volunteer availability and may include connecting individuals with available community resources and support.
Diverse Housing Solutions
Creating accessible, affordable, and safe housing solutions for the deaf, deafblind, deafdisabled, and hard of hearing (DDBDDHH) community.
Deafinitely Housing is exploring housing solutions that respond to diverse community needs, including temporary housing for survivors of violence, family housing, affordable homeownership, and pathways to housing stability.Community input and data are currently being gathered to better understand housing needs and priorities. This information will help guide the development of future housing solutions and partnerships.Funding opportunities are also being explored to establish a housing fund that could support the acquisition of a housing unit for members of the DDBDDHH community.
A home-sharing program is also being researched as a potential solution to connect DDBDDHH homeowners and tenants through an application process. The program could provide more affordable housing options for tenants while offering homeowners, including older adults, and reduce financial strain and assistance with household tasks, companionship, or other agreed-upon forms of support.

Community Living Opportunities
Fostering accessible, connected, and supportive community living opportunities for deaf, deafblind, deafdisabled, and hard of hearing (DDBDDHH) individuals who benefit from shared or cooperative living environments.
Deafinitely Housing is exploring community living models that respond to the diverse needs of the DDBDDHH community, including transit-accessible housing for deafblind individuals, group and cooperative housing, and cohousing models that support connection, independence, and long-term housing stability.
A DDBDDHH cohousing concept is also being explored through a future feasibility study to assess the potential for an accessible, community-centered residential model inspired by established cohousing communities. Funding will be pursued to support the feasibility study and, if viable, future development of the concept.
